I have an interesting situation.
I was creating an additonal account for someone and set it up as a "Limited"
type of account.
I went to click on the Internet Explorer Icon and I got the mini-hour glass
next to the cursor and nothing happened. Tried it again and nothing.
I started to click on other icons on my desk top and got the following error
box.
In the blue border on the top of the box, it says:
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libary"
Under that message, in the same box, it says:
"Runtime Error !
Program: C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe
"The application has reqeusted the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."
The there is a button that says "ok" in the middle for me to click on.
I go into Start-control panel, start-my computer, start-my network places,
etc I get the same message. When I click on start, then right click and try
to open up any of those option, I get the same message.
If I re-start the computer, go directly into the alternate identity, most
everything works ok. However, if I switch from the alternate identity to the
main one, I get those same messages. I have to re-start and then everything
is fine.
Anyone have any idea on what this is and how to fix it?
Thanks.
