runtime error 214220999

I am using Access2000, loaded on an XP PC. When opening a
database, I get this error when the switchboard should
come up. It happens on some database's but not all. I
have tried to update MDAC 2.8 but this does not seem to
help.

My guess is that you have a missing reference in the databases that don't work.
