Runtime Error 103

My friend has asked me to have a look at her laptop as she was having
problems with it.

There was loads of adwear and spyware causing problems and she had a problem
with her CD-Rom drivers. The CDRom is OK now and I think I have removed the
spywear.

However. An error mesage keeps appearing "Runtime Error 103 at 0040541B".
Originally I thought this was being caused by spywear that she had on her
system called "Winfixer 2005" but now I am not sure.

Can anyone help me to solve the problem please. The system is running
Window 2000.

Several possible causes; google for "Runtime error 103" to check them.

I tried this already but no joy.

Any other thoughts?
