Mark: When I checked the Internet Options it was set up right. Anything else
I can check?

I learned that the hard way. I kept checking my home page to find it was
what I wanted, but it never got to fully run "once" until I let it. I'm on
dial up, therefore, until I finally took the time to let it do what the name
said, I would always see it.

What is it actually doing? Vista and/or IE7 is the first time I saw that.

1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
3. On the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
4. When Internet Explorer 7 finishes restoring the default settings, click
Close, and then click OK two times.
5. Close Internet Explorer 7. The changes take effect the next time that you
open Internet Explorer 7.
You will have to let it finish loading once. Since Hotmail seems down today,
that may take several days to do.

and delete from registry.

Unknown: Thanks, will wait for son-in-law, I don't mess with the registry
for any reason. That's son-in-laws job.

How do I stop this screen from opening every time I open IE, this is what
opens
http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx, can't get it to stop. I use IE 7, I
have an HP m495c Media Center PC with 3.20 GHz Pentium 4

Take a look at this web site.

Fix: Internet Explorer 7 is stuck at the first run welcome page
http://msmvps.com/blogs/spywaresucks/archive/2006/08/15/107649.aspx

If this doesn't help fix the problem, you might want to post you question to the
IE7 newsgroup.

Good luck

Mark: Tried your fix and still pops up,

Do you have any security software (e.g., anti-malware) that locks the
settings in the browser? Some security apps will lock in the home
page and not allow you to change it unless you answer a prompt or
disable their locking, make the change, and then relock that option.

I think you have an option on the Runonce page to let you change the Home
page to your default home page or to new one.
Read the Info on that page and follow the instruction and one of them asking
you to Enable the Phishing Filter.

Try the changes in Safe Mode or with your Security software Disabled (Please
Enable them when you managed to change the Home page to be secure).

This same thing happened to a friend. We downloaded another copy of IE7 and
installed it with no problems. It appears our original copy of IE 7 may
have been corrupted. In anycase, the second download worked for us.
