Hi. Trying to run Leisure Suit Larry 1 but I get the error:
'System does not support full screen mode'.
Didn't have problems with XP.
In another thread same group someone suggested DosBox. I'm having
many of problems with DosBox and the DosBox forum seems to
have abandoned my thread.
I did start Vista in Safe mode and Dos prompt. The game ran but
I had no sound. Is there a way to get the sound starting the system
like this?
If I get achieve the sound I'll put up with rebooting if the game runs.

Any ideas?
James

Starting in Safe mode is not a solution. Neither is downgrading your
video card drives to XP compatible drivers (XDDM).

Your only solution is DosBox/VPC or other emulators that are inferior
to the 2 I just mentioned.

If you don't want to bother with emulators then you'll either have to
dual-boot your computer with XP or find an old machine.

LSL1 works fine in DosBox so explain what problems your having and we
can start from there.

I've done that.

Thanks,
James

Sorry, one more thing.
When I try to install VPC 2004 Vista tells me there are
compatibility issues

James

VPC 2004 is not compatible VPC 2007 (in beta) is. It is also very stable.
Search the Microsoft site for the download link.
