Running video files in PPT 2003

Any ideas why video files would not run within PPT 2003? The original
files are Mac files, but we've converted them to .mov's, .avi's, you
name it, and none of them will run, either automatically or when
clicked. Timing's getting urgent on this, so any and all ideas or
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's quite rarely that I get .mov and .avi working in a powerpoint
presentation.
Convert it to .wmv, because this is the file type most compatible with
powerpoint and less likely to cause problem. If you need high resolution
settings then convert using Windows Media Encoder as this gives you more
flexibility in terms of encoding your movie files. Then have the video/s in
the same folder as your powerpoint presentation. Or if that doesn't work,
have the video/s sitting on your desktop and re-insert the video into your
powerpoint presentation using the video on your desktop.
