Running Update with NIS closed

Could someone shed some light on this error message?
How can I close all Symantec applications and still run LiveUpdate?
I have NIS 2004 and windows Xp.

The message relates to a failure to update 2 definition files.

LU1821: This update failed because it tried to overwrite a file
that was in use. Close all of your Symantec applications and
run LiveUpdate again.

Did u try to update NAV2004 maby? Coz I have the same problem, I can't
update program and common client core.

I know that problem, but can't find the solution :(
So, if someone know what obout that, please help.
