In Access 2000
I created a report based on a query. One of the fields in
the query is an amount field. I can easy get a sub total
for each required break (ie. yyyy.mm change). But I have
a condition where if a field = 0, I must replace the
amount field with 0. That works fine in the detail part
of the report. I have a 'control source' formula from the
expression builder which works nicely.

The problem is that in the group break the sum contains
the value from the entry which I made zero.

I need the zero value to be added into the break sub total
rather than the original value for these special cases.

I hope I explained this properly.

Thanks

Try using the Running Sum property on the text box in the
detail section. Then the group footer text box would
display the total of the calculated value just by referring
to the detail's text box.
