Running slow, little help?

Hey all. Recently found the computer has been running slowly, so I upgraded to 1 gb RAM. Still slow. I did notice that the control panel was gone and had "restrictions" on the system. So I did a little research, fixed a few things, and now the CP is back, and I no longer have the restrictions.
Can someone have a look here at my log and let me know what you think?

I'm really not surprised your system is slow ... you are running three AV programs ... your PC can't do anything else. I'm very surprised it ain't had more problems.


Your "infected" with Norton, MaCrappy and, just for good measure, you threw in AVG

Oh, and non of them are that good at what they are supposed to do.


I recommend you uninstall all, clean-up using their relevant clean-up tools, and install a better, one only all by itself, AV program such as KAV or NOD

I will look into getting rid of the unnecessary programs and keeping just one to do the job.

I'm not familiar with either that you've mentioned so I've one question. Does either of them incorporate a firewall for inbound AND outbound traffic?
I have certain programs that I don't want accessing the net, that's why I have McCrappy installed.

Again, thanks for your reply, and based on what I've read around here, and your 14,000 some-odd posts, I trust your recommendations.

You can just use the AV program, NOD32 or KAV, and supplement it with Comodo Firewall

On my main PC I use KIS, on my other PCs I have a mix I use for evaluation, including the new NOD3 Internet Security.
