Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to make utilites run after they
have been started by scheduled tasks in the control panel.
I want to run Disk Defragmenter on a schedule. I can set
it up so it will start at the appointed hour. But, how do
you make it run automatically. I can find no settings on
the dialog window when it opens, or none on the Schedule
Tasks Wizard either. Thank you, Cyberwood

Right click on the scheduled task and see if the drive letter is specified
after the command to run defrag. In the text box named Run the entry should
read "defrag c:" without the quotes of course. In most cases if you want a
utility to run automatically you need to add some command line switches like
the c: used with defrag. To find out what switches the utility will
recognize bring up a dos box and type the utility file name followed by a
space and /?, for example defrag /?
