Hoping someone can help. Am trying to run WinXP recovery.
Prompted for administrator's password when I pull up that
screen but it tells me the password I enter is invalid.
I'm pretty sure it's the right one. I use my regular user
password and should have administrator rights for the
machine. Don't recall creating any other accounts. WinXP
is came with the machine from Dell.

When I pull the hard drive out and read it from another
computer, I can't see that that user profile/settings data
at all. Whole thing started with a stop error message:
c000021a status 0x0000034

Is there a workaround?? Could I create/add a new user
profile with admin rights from another computer (save it
to hard drive somehow)?

Anyone know what the error message means?

Thanks for any help!
