running queries in forms

Hi

Can I run a select query from a form without actually seeing the query. If
so, how can I do it

Huh? If you don't see it, why would you run it? Are you asking to base the
form's data on a query? If so, you'd make the form's data source = the
query.

I've done this via placing a command button on the form and using the wizard
to run a specific query from that button. The query will run without you ever
seeing the query results. Not sure why you would want to run a query and not
view the results...but this is how I've used command buttons for update
queries. Hope it helps.

The only reason one would ever "run" a Select query is because you
want to see the data. What are you trying to accomplish? It's probably
not necessary to "run" this query at all!
