Is there any way to run programs installed on XP from Vista RC1 (in a dual
boot system) without installing them again in Vista? In particular, Microsoft
Office 2007. I've installed the technical refresh on XP but that doesn't make
a difference.

Any suggestions

Most programs will need to be installed in each OS you want to use it in so
it can set up it's registry entries. What I always did was simply install it
to the same location for both OSs. That is, from Vista run the installer for
your program and install it to it's existing location in your XP program
files folder. Now it should work in both systems and only take up the space
of one installation.

For some (simple) self contained programs, yes--just make a shortcut to
them.
For MS Office? No way. Not without a lot of work that will consume way more
time and effort than just installing it under Vista.

No, you can't do that in Vista nor in XP. The only exception is simple
programs that don't write to the registry during their installation.
