Does anybody here that is MVP know what keyhost.exe and
version.exe do? Is it useful? Or is it a trash, or
malicious? I have it on my windows task manager and it
seems so unuseful to me. Can someone tell me how to
delete them, if necessary?

Thank you MVPs,
Jacky

Keyhost.exe may be a part of a worm or at the very least some adware.

You should make sure your antivirus software is up to date and run a scan on
your system. You should also download, install and run Ad Aware:
www.lavasoftusa.com.

Since Keyhost may be a virus, it should be properly removed and an antivirus
program should be run for that purpose. Simply deleting the file might not
accomplish what you want and it also may remove a flag necessary for the AV
to properly recognize it and take appropriate measures.

While Version.exe is not a Windows file either, many applications have a
file with that name. Backup My PC from Stomp includes such a file. You
should make note of the location of the file as that may be an indication as
to the application to which it belongs. You might also find such
information by right clicking the file and selecting properties. If it is
malicious, certainly antivirus software and Ad Aware should be able to pick
it up.
