running outlook for the first time

I'm switching from outlook express to outlook (2000). I
keep getting the message "the operation failed." I cannot
get past this message.

Help!

I am having a similur problem, I ahve installed Office XP
and when I went to setup outlook, it errored out with a
message can not access the registry - I have never seen
that one before? I reinstalled outlook to fix / repair,
but did not work.
What have you tried so far?

I just upgraded from winnt 2000 pro to XP pro and now

when I reinstalled office 2000 Outlook won't load. Keep
getting "Operation Failed" . Have disabled Outlook
Express to see if that helped but did nothing. have
uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times but same problem.
Anyone have a suggestion???
