running out of Cdrive space

I apologize if you are not the not the person I am to
talk to. When I log on to my computer the little yellow
bubble comes up stating I am running low on C drive space
and to delete something. I am afraid to delete
anything. What have i done wronge and how can this be
fixed. This has happened before and I had someone help
me but he has gone south for the winter. Please help. I
moved my note pad to the D drive, but it was just a lot
of code numbers and I don't know. Please help or forward
me to someone who can help me. Thank you very much.

Hi Nancy,

Click on Start, a list of programs will appear, go to Run, click and
then type 'cleanmgr.exe' (without the quotes). This activates the
clean up wizard and you should just follow the instructions. If this
does not resolve the problem, post back.

In addition, you can always goto :

Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs

In this window, it will list all uninstallable programs that are currently taking up space on your c:\ drive. If you notice certain programs you no longer use, you can safely click on the Add/Remove button and allow Windows to wipe that program from your hard disk.
