Hi there.
Could anyone tell me if it is possible to run local applications on my PC by
clicking a link in the Internet Explorer. My idea is to build some "Main
menu" to keep track on several Access, Excel and Powerpoint applications to
make it easier for the user to navigate..

Thanks in advance
Ronnie

It is possible, but the problem you will run into is that each time you click
one of the links it will prompt you to verify that you want to run this
program. The reason for this is that running things through a browser uses
different security permissions. This can be twarted through security settings
but I recommend that you don't do this since it will leave you open to
malicious programs running and installing on your PC. This could cause severe
damage.

Try saving your page as a .HTA file instead of a .HTM file. I can't recall
if this helps.

You also might find that there are some good applaunchers available. E.g.
www.bayden.com/slickrun/ or AppRocket.
