My Internet Explorer doesn't work.
I've exhausted all attempts by me to solve my problem. I get a similar
message as many others, that Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. etc.
The following is what I see in the error report: AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 Mod
Name: mshtml.dll Offset: 00133335 ModVer: 6.0.2800.1479
Any suggestions or help will probably help me to keep what little bit of
hair that I have left. :)

Hi,
A good starting point for mshtml.dll problems is to check for malware.

Start by running BHODemon 2.0 from
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3550.html The offender may simply be a
BHO.

Then you should also download, update and run Ad-aware, Spybot and (if
running WinXP) MS Anti-Spyware (Beta.)

Hi Don,
Thanks for your tips. I'm working my way through your suggestions, but thus
far, I haven't found a solution. Still have more reading and removal info to
absorb. The positive side of this is that I am rising to a new level of
patience and skills. Again, thanks for your help!

PS. Also, thanks to the other MVPs and their postings. Seasons Greetings!

Once again, thanks Don for the tips. I have learned much from this
experience. I eventually found a solution for my internet explorer mshtml.dll
problem and to be quite honest, I don't know how, but my problems all ended
when I uninstalled a free email program that I had on my computer. The
program was GroupMail from Infacta.
I'm not recommending anyone to dump this program from their computer in an
effort to solve an mshtml.dll problem, but for what it's worth, the uninstall
worked for me.
Seasons Greetings everyone!

Hi,
Thanks for the update. I usually suggest that legitimate programs can also
cause problems with IE. I, for some reason, didn't include that information.
I'm glad that you found the guilty party. ;-)
