Hi,

I started using Windows Messenger that day, and tick "autostart with
Windows"(translated) and "run in background"(translated).
Now, the Messenger automatically login in the background everytime I start
computer, and I can't SEE the icon in the taskbar! I start Windows Messenger
from menu, and it just create another instance of service in the background,
I don't see any icon!
How do I recall back the Windows Messenger screen again? So that I can
untick the "run in background".
I find here and there, and mostly talk about how to totally disable the
execution of Messenger. I still want it running, but in foreground!

Hope if anyone could help.
Thanks!

Khan Ming

Greetings,

Do you have Norton Antivirus installed? Recent versions of Norton Antivirus added a new
"instant messaging scanning" feature, which can conflict with Messenger and cause it to also
keep starting. To stop it, open Norton Antivirus (Right-click on the Norton Antivirus icon in
the System Tray/Notification Area (by the clock), choose 'Open Norton Antivirus'), click
Options, then Instant Messenger then uncheck MSN Instant Messenger or Windows Messenger and
click OK.
