Running forms outside main window

I don't know if this is possible, but I was wondering if there is a way to
run an access front end outside of the access window. What I mean is if
access can open and minimize itself and allow my main switchboard to be
maximized, as well as all the forms/reports opened from the switchboard to be
open outside the window. It seems to me the only thing that can be dragged
outside the access window is the property boxes. Any help? Thanks.

This was written before A2000 so if you use A2000 or later, you _may_ have
to muck around a bit to get it to work properly.
