Running CHKDSK when W2K won't boot

I was having blue screens when playing games, so I tried
to change the my display driver. I was not prompted to
reboot, so I started my game up again. At the next blue
screen, I did a reboot. Now I can't get W2K to load. I
keep getting a Stop: 0x00000024 error. It's some issue
with the NTFS file system. Apparently, CHKDSK could
probably fix it, but how do I run it if I can't boot the
OS? I also have Win98 on the same computer using
Partition Magic 8.

Thanks in advance.

If it's the file system (not the Video) then that's pretty odd after
messing with Video.

Try these first (at first prompt-- you may have hit F8 coming of post test):
F8, VGA mode (re-install video) and run chkdsk /fix
or F8, Safe Mode (ditto)
or F8, Safe Mode with CMD only (chkdsk)

Win98 is not going to help you with the stuff on an NTFS volume.

If the above doesn't work, boot from the Win2000 CD-ROM and use
the "Repair" option to reach the "Recovery Console" and run chkdsk etc,
and even to DISABLE certain (video drivers? -- but write down everything.)

You can run CHKDSK from the Recovery Console:
