Hi,
We have a domain at work and the network administrator uses the network
to apply windows updates remotely. I do my updates regularly and so by
the time she gets around to updating I already have them all. Despite
this she runs the update program which then forces me to reboot the
system. I want to stop this and can't figure out how to do it. I know
the name of the executable that she runs on my machine to do this. Is
there any way to stop this executable from ever running on my machine
or some other way to block the whole remote access thing. She uses
Shavlik HFNetChkPro to do the remote updates.

Thanks,
Ashish.

Have you discussed this with your network administrator? Perhaps she's the
one that is supposed to make the decision. Not you?
