I have one computer on a 2-computer LAN that has become
unusuable(applications will not start, exe files stopped working). I have
internet connectivity but not to some of the best known antivirus web sites.
I'd like to run an updated antivirus program on my remaining good computer
and have it check the corrupted computer. Can someone show me exactly how I
go about doing this. I'm running Windows 2000 and the LAN goes through a
router.

Thanks, John

Have you tried creating a share on the bad computer (e.g. for
drive C:), then mapping a drive letter to that share from the
good PC? You could then scan this drive letter as if it was
a local drive.

I was having the same exact problem. Thank you. Nice to know you
CAN get help without getting treated like an idiot.
