Running a scan disk...

Hi guys,
I am runing a time computer with windows XP loaded onto
it but I do not know how to run a thorough scan disk on
my C drive! Any help would be very much appreciated if
you could e-mail me instead of hitting reply that would
be great just e-mail me at (e-mail address removed)

Scandisk has been 'replaced' by chkdsk. From a command prompt type "chkdsk /?" - without the quote. That will show the options available with chkdsk. Try chkdsk /f - you may need to reboot for this work.

You tit, one has to reboot for that switch command to work with chkdsk!

Actually, chkdsk did not "replace" scandisk. Scandisk never existed
in the NT scheme; NT has always used chkdsk. Note: to do a thorough
check, a reboot is required. Also, be prepared to sit for a bit while
the process is running.
