Hi just wondering if anyone knows if there is anyway to run the windows
operating system on a vax machine? Would like to run a web server on a vax
machine but probably not possible.
thanks.

probably not. microsoft stopped nt support of alphas, several versions ago.
you might be able to get the mono (open source) version to run on the vax.

for the vax, i'd go to apache, jsp and the google library.

if it can run Java, it can probably run tomcat and you could look at the
Grasshopper 2.0 Technology Preview which converts the asp.net code to jsp.
Never tried it myself and the cost fo PC's these days would probably
discount the actual work as being worthwhile....lol.

ok thanks for the information. Probably will just go the pc route because of
price alone.
