Hi,

I have got a new pc with win 2000 pro on it which I want to put it on
our existing domain. For some reasons, I can't seem to install existing
printers for all the roaming users. So everytime user want to print on
that computer, a printer has to be installed (everytime. it drives me
nut).

On further research, I noticed that the previous IT support person used
scripts to connect to printers... Although I put the common print.bat
file into the C: drive it still doesn't work...

So I run this script which I found on the Netlogon folder on the
server(rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /in /u /n /Server/PrinterA).

Once I done that I saw the computer was joining to the printer and when
I logged into as a different user account, I can still see that the
printer is still connected.

However! soon after that I noticed no computers on the network can
print to that printer anymore. So when I check the event view from the
server, i can see that the printer driver files and some other .dll
files have been either updated or deleted.

I am qutie sure that it happens because I run that script!

My question now is how can i get the printer working back to normal
please?

(That new computer no longer works as well, everytime I booted up, I
got a message saying "a device attached to this computer is not working
properl blar blar and keep on asking me to go back to Safe Mode, when i
did , it still gave the same error message).

So my second question is what is going on the whole system
please.............

Thanks in advance
Tin
