I have a Toshiba Tecra 9100 with 2.0 G processor.
Windows XP was just reinstalled with the original discs
after formatting. I downloaded the service patch and now
when I boot I get a "busy" from the mouse when I try to
use anything on the tray for the first 20 to 30 minutes,
although I can run programs that have icons on the
desktop. If I reboot during that time I get a message
that "rundll32 is not responding".

Hi!
Start > Run > regedit
- Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\
- With Registry > Export Registry File, save these 2
branches to a REG file on your desktop (to be able to
recover the settings)
- Delete the appropriate values where rundll32.exe is written
- Reboot your compter
- If nothing changes, you can import the old deleted
settings by double-clicking on the REG files on your desktop

Hope this will help.

With best wishes,
