Hi,
I understand that the following error message appears on your system while
shutting down Windows XP. The issue started after uninstalling a program.
This issue could be due to one of the following reasons.
1. The system is infected by a virus.
2. System is infected by spyware.
3 Some incompatible software is running in the background.
Please follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Run the antivirus scan on the system.
1. Click Start, click Run, type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks)
into the
Open box, and click OK.
2. Click Startup and click to check the first unselected item.
3. Click Apply, click OK and click Yes to restart the computer.
4. Does the problem occur? If the problem occurs again, the cause is this
selected item.
If not, check the remaining sections of the startup group tab, one at a
time, and start the computer after each checkmark is added. When the
problem returns, the last check box you selected is loading a program that
is causing the problem.
Please keep the checkbox unselected to stop the message from appearing
again.
Step 2: Disable third party browser extensions.
1. Open Control Panel, and click "Switch to Classic View" in the left pane
if it is the category view.
2. Open Internet Options.
3. Switch to the Advanced tab, Click "Restore Defaults" button and then
deselect
"Enable third-party browser extensions".
Now please check if the issue still persists.
Thank you,
Rashmi
