Can someone help please? sometimes not all when i open folders usally
pictures and start vewing i get messages saying its going to close and i have
a problem with rundll? got vista home premium installed, a clean install from
xp.please help had it a few days now but i havent changed any settings to
cause it.

You need to post the exact error message.
You need to say exactly what you were doing when it appeared.

A clean install generally means you deleted your existing partition and
then installed Vista. Did you do this, or did you Upgrade from XP.

Do you have Nero installed? Older versions of it cause such problems in
Vista.
Get the latest Nero, 7.7.5.1, and the problems will be gone.

i did an upgrade from xp. i,ve just tried it with opening pictures and it
wants to close, another message i keep getting is COM Surrogate has stopped
working, just says a problem caused it?? please help eather get this message
or same but says rundll not com surrogate?
 
yes got nero but it is the latest, nero ultra?

i will take it of though now you mention it problems did start around same
time as installed nero.

No problem. :)
But like I said, you can just download the latest version of Nero and
the problems will be gone. Worth a try, /me thinks. :-))

....or you could simply go into C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\
and rename the following two items:

NeVideo.ax - rename this (for example 1NeVideo.ax)
NeroVideoProc.ax - also rename this (for example 1NeroVideoProc.ax )

I guarantee you that this will work.
