Aloha,
FYI: Newdot#$@# is a spyware. Try these steps:
Solution #1:
------------
Download and execute the NewDotNet uninstaller utility
from the web site below.
http://www.new.net/support/uninstall3_70.exe
Solution #2:
------------
1. Click on Start.
2. Select Settings.
3. Click on Control Panel.
4. Double-click on the Add/Remove Programs icon.
5. Select the New.net Application.
6. Click on the Add/Remove button.
7. Once the program has uninstalled, click on the OK
button.
After completing all of these steps, please reboot the
computer. This will have removed the New.net application
from your system. The above steps will fully remove the
New.net plug-in. However, the Windows operating system
will retain a record that the New.net plug-in previously
had been installed on your computer
in "C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files." This file is
harmless, but can be removed by following the steps below:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click on Tools.
3. Click on Internet Options.
4. Under the General tab, click on the Settings button.
5. Within the Settings window, click on the View Objects
button.
6. Within the Downloaded Program Files window, locate and
delete Tldctl2c Class.
7. Close the Downloaded Program Files window.
8. Click on the OK button within the Settings window.
9. Click on the OK button within the Internet Options
window.
10. Close Internet Explorer.
If you only need to remove the dll file then, please
perform the steps below.
First, you will need to locate the New.net ".dll" file
that is on the computer. Do this by doing a search
for "newdot*.*".
The file will be located in your "Windows" folder Once
found, make note of the actual filename which should look
something like this:
Example: newdotnet2_90.dll
Close the Find or Search window and perform the steps
below.
1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type in the following line: (without quotes)
"rundll32 c:\windows\newdotnet2_90.dll,NewDotNetUninstall"
4. Click OK
You should then see a small window asking if you want to
uninstall the New.net application.
5. Click Yes.
6. Once this is done, restart your computer.
This should keep the .dll from loading up at startup of
your computer.
Furthermore, I recommend you download and install the Ad-
Aware spyware
removal utility from the following Web site:
