At startup I get this message - Error Loading
C:\WINDOWS\System3\suodvfib.dll The specified module could not be found.

Do I need this? If I do where can I get it, I don't have any cds or anything
(second hand). If I don't need it how do I get rid of the message?

A Google Groups search showed no mention of that file, other than your
post. That suggests that some malware was removed, but the reference to
the file was not removed from the registry.

Click Start, Run, type REGEDIT, click OK. Press the Home key, press F3,
type the name of the file into the search pane. Click "Find Next", and
when located, delete the reference to the file. Press F3 to continue
the search.

You can click File, Export, and save the entry to the Desktop. If you
remove it and there's a problem, double-click the .reg file you exported
to the Desktop and it'll be added to the registry again. You can create
a restore point before editing the registry too.

well, if the file cant
be found, then this may
be a good thing/sign because
your antivirus may have
removed it.

however, while the one
file may have been removed
from the system, the other
supporting files are likely
still on the harddrive and
not functional anymore.

the question is, do you have
an idea of what the program
is that is no longer functioning.

you may have to decide whether
you need to reinstall it or remove
it completely.

in any case, there is likely in your
startup configuration that is trying
to run that file.

the startup configuration can be
accessed by clicking on start>run>msconfig
the startup tab with a listing
will likely have that one line
referencing that file.

uncheck it and restart the
pc.

That's not a Windows file, and since Google doesn't find any mention
of it, it's probably a random name generated by malware.

Did you recently remove a virus or other malware file? If so, this is
probably a left-over reference to it. Look in MSCONFIG to see if the
attempt to load it is shown there. Remove it if it is.
