There is no "one size fits all" for run-time errors.
Each one must be addressed separately.
If you'd like to post more details on the exact error you're getting
(including the number associated with it), you may get some more help here.

This does not sound like an error generated by MS Access, the database
program which is the subject of this newsgroup.
If it is, please detail what your database is doing when this error is
generated.

If you are not using MS Access, please look for a newsgroup focussing on the
application you are using.

The error appears when I start my PC. Nothing appears to function
wrongly/badly.

In that case, this is the wrong newsgroup for you to be asking in.
MS Access is a relational database.
That's what the folks here are talking about, and helping each other with.

I'd suggest looking for a newsgroup on the operating system you are using
(e.g. Windows 98, Windows XP...)
