I would like to know how to run the add printer wizard as another user on a
win2k system? I attempting to create a shortcut on the add printer wizard
applet hoping to get the option to check off the run as another user
selection box, but that doesn't seem possible.

You will need to add the printer remotely or log on with the other users
credentials.

You can do this but you will need to terminate the explorer process and
start explorer.exe in a runas window with the user logon you wish.

Another possibilty is to find a third party tool, which you can start
with runas and is able to add printers.
Look at Download 2006 from Cyrion Technologies (http://www.cyrtech.de).
It gives a lot of information about printers, pcl, ... and in
"Inside Printers" you can add a new printer.
Or you directly start the printer wizard with another user like this:

runas /U:administrator "rundll32.exe shell32.dll,SHHelpShortcuts_RunDLL
AddPrinter"
