Hi

I would like to know how can we run Internet explorer 6.0 in Parallel with
IE7 on Vista PC . I would appreciate if someone can let me know the correct
procedure for the same

This is becoz some of the programs work well with IE6 but not on IE7

Hi Anil,

I know that there are tweaks out there that allow you to run both IE6 and
IE7 on the same partition, but I don't think this is the preferred method
for Vista users (since Vista is still in Beta and it is a new beast, IE6
will probably be unpredictable)

The IE6/IE7 compatibility issues have nothing to do with Vista or XP, rather
they are IE7 readiness issues of legacy applications and web sites which
don't correctly detect the running version of IE.

You can download a tweaking tool that will spoof websites into thinking you
are using IE6 from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?71879
or from
http://www.fiddlertool.com/useragent.aspx

Regards.

You cannot install more than one version of IE on each bootable partition of
a hard drive. This is due to file sharing between the OS and IE. What you
will have to do is to format your hard drive into multiple partitions,
installing a version of Windows and a version of IE that the OS supports on
each partition.

These programs can help you with this matter:

Partition Magic - http://www.powerquest.com/partitionmagic/
BootIT NG - http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/bootitng.html
Partition Commander - http://www.v-com.com/

However, IE 4 and 5 can exist together in some form:
