run game .exe

Under Windows XP some games (1 yr old or better) have
their run command (.exe) changed or added to so that they
will no longer start. This happens after using other
programs or games and then going back to the original
game. I have to copy the original .exe from the CD into
the game file to get the game to start again. Any idea
what that could be?

Check for viruses and clean off spyware. This should not be happening.
