I have Access 97. How do I run a form on my computer
screen without bringing up Access? (I am very green with
this software.)

Access forms require Access. They cannot be run by themselves. There are
some API calls you can make to *hide* the Access window, but it's more
trouble than it's worth (IMO).

Very simple:

You can't.

An Access form has no existance apart from the Access executable
(either the full retail version or a Runtime version, which you can
create by purchasing the Office Developer's Edition for Access97).

You can use a old trick from ms-access that allows you to drag a form to a
your desktop.

While looking at the forms tab, just drag the form to your desktop. You get
a shortcut.

The user can click on that shortcut, and go direct to the form.

You of course still need ms-access on the computer.

On the other hand, you are also free to complete hide the ms-access
interface, but that certainly a separate question from having a form start
when ms-access starts.

If you want an example of the ms-access interface hidden, then grad the 3rd
example at the following web page:
