I cringe when people want to put AOL on their systems. It is nothing but a
resource hog, they install software that pushes ad's on you, pushes their
products down your throat and is 100% deceptive. Also, if you sign up for
ther so called FREE trial period, just try to get them to stop charging your
credit card. I dare you!

I would rather go back to DOS than to use AOL

Gives me shivers just thinking about it.

Uhmmmm... WTF does this have to do with VISTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use AOL with no problems. In my experience, it has much better spam and
virus protection than any other email software.
Sure they pop up some ads since they made it completely free. It seems the
only way to provide good software with 24/7 support is to sell some
advertising.
Why would you need a trial period or credit card charges, unless you're
trying to scam around for free ISP on dialup?
Get high speed and stop whining.

It doesn't have much to with Vista but I wanted to make sure that people who
use VISTA don't use AO-HELL, so it has a little bit to do with helping
people when they use VISTA. HELLOOOO. Now go play in the sandbox.

Look at the hundreds of other posts that have nothing to do with Vista.
Actually one moron was talking about his job at the Post Office.

You ask why you would need a trial period? Because AOL advertises that they
offer a free trial period and if you really don't like AOL you have the
RIGHT to cancel, but AOL wants your money so they go ahead and charge your
credit card, over and over again. Read the posts. That is illegal and
immoral.

True there are some people who want to scam AOL but there are thousands who
want to try it and when they see how much it sucks, then they want nothing
to do with it. They want it removed and not to be charged. Simple.

I'm just trying to warn people about their deceptive practices.

RUN, don't walk from AO-HELL

Which version of VISTA are you using?

Again, why are you paying them anything? Are you trying to use them for a
30 day dial-up ISP because you're too cheap to get high speed?
You do know their software is FREE now, and they only charge you to connect
to the internet if you use their dialup. I'm sure any other ISP would do
the same. If you signed up for that and called in time to cancel and got a
charge, maybe you called at the last second and they didn't get the charge
stopped. If you called within a specified free period limit and they did
charge you, all you have to do is call and tell them and you should get a
credit back to your card, like anyone else would do. Charging is not an AOL
problem, it's an ISP problem that scammers looking to switch ISP every 30
day for free internet will get now and then.

If you don't like the software, don't use it, but I think it does a great
job. I hardly ever get spam on it, while my work email on Outlook with a
spam filter program gets a ton.

I haven't used AO-HELL in years and I would never ever use it again. Only
people who don't know how to navigate, need hand holding, are beginners, who
don't know any better use AO-HELL. If you read some of the links on the
post that I provided, you would know that people didn't cancel at the last
minute. Charging is an AOL problem because they are doing it to thousands
and thousands of members and former members. Read the statistics.

You ask why are you paying them anything. First it's not me, but for the
thousands who DO NOT want to pay anything, they don't have a choice because
AO-HELL charges them even though they say Cancel. Go figure. You are in a
cush, cloud of AOL and nobody will change your mind. Keep surfing the
AO-HELL way and enjoy yourself. You don't know any better. But if I can
save one person from being SUCKED into their deceptive practices, then this
post was worth it.

Wow, you haven't used AOL in years and you don't like it? Then I guess you
ARE the biggest moron on the planet. Ever think the software may have
improved since you last tested it?

Charges are a problem for a lot of companies. I used to have a bank account
with a certain major bank who got bought out by another bank. Then a charge
appeared on my statement and they said it's because they changed all their
account types when they got bought out and didn't bother to convert my free
account to another free account, and they credited my account for the fee.
They said they would fix it and I wouldn't be charged the next month, but
they didn't and I was.

If you had a personal experience, I could say I feel your pain, but for you
to say you haven't dealt with them in years and you want to scream and whine
about a common problem they're supposedly having all I can say is seek
professional help.

I'm the biggest Moron because I don't use AO-HELL? That is pretty damn
funny if you ask me. Why do I want to use software that cripples my ability
to work? You seem to be an AO-HELL fanatic and that is great. You keep up
the good work because AO-HELL needs subscribers just like you. You
obviously didn't read any of the links did you? You must not have read that
the States of New York, Ohio, and Florida have sued AO-HELL. But being an
AO-HELL user you can't read. I forgot.

If three more state have sued AO-HELL then there must be a problem, it isn't
just me now is it? But you don't have the brains to figure that out.
La-de-da, la-de-da, lets go on with blinders on.

Millions of people have abandoned AO-HELL. Why do you ask? You probably
have no clue. I am not talking one or two unhappy people, but millions.
Get it -Slick? Probably not because you are dumb enough to use AO-HELL and
think everything is hunky dory.

So I am screaming and whining about a problem because they are supposedly
having? They ARE having problems because they are or have been SUED by
multiple states, but you can't comprehend that. You are in AO-HELL
Disneyland. Now go give the ride operator your coupon and ride the DUMBO
ride.

I will not respond to any more of your crap.

LOOZER!

That is so sad, that you didn't finish the third grade. It seems you are
the one who can't read because I never called you a moron for not using AOL.
It is the best email software I've seen but I couldn't care less what you
use. I called you a moron because you are whining about AOL having "bad
software" which you haven't used in years and they have a lawsuit over
billing issues that you apparently haven't personally experienced.
If three more state have sued AO-HELL then there must be a problem, it
isn't just me now is it? But you don't have the brains to figure that
out. La-de-da, la-de-da, lets go on with blinders on.
You must be very tired from whining if you whine about every company that's
ever been sued. Hey, Microsoft has been sued many times. Have you whined
about them lately? Your doctor has probably faced a lawsuit before. You'd
better not go to the doctor. I believe people have even tried to sue the
federal government. You'd better not let them govern you. Quick, move out
of the country to one where no one is able to sue anyone.
Millions of people have abandoned AO-HELL. Why do you ask? You probably
have no clue. I am not talking one or two unhappy people, but millions.
Get it -Slick? Probably not because you are dumb enough to use AO-HELL
and think everything is hunky dory.
Is that in one of those links too? Where did you get that information? I
was unable to read your links. I clicked one and it started to display an
article, then it cleared the page and started displaying an ad for Netflix.
I think whoever wrote that article has an agenda to push, just like you, or
did you write them?
So I am screaming and whining about a problem because they are supposedly
having? They ARE having problems because they are or have been SUED by
multiple states, but you can't comprehend that. You are in AO-HELL
Disneyland. Now go give the ride operator your coupon and ride the DUMBO
ride.
Yes supposedly is the word. It's not a real problem because they're still
in business. They're not the first company to ever get sued. Get a clue,
get a life, get professional help.

Hmmm, Microsoft has been sued also. Apparently you haven't stopped using
their software because of that. I wonder who the Moron is.

Look who is calling a Moron a Moron. Appparently you haven't stopped using
their software because of that. I wonder who the Moron is now..
You are using a Microsoft product also, you Moron!

Have a nice day.

You're making less and less sense. You're the one whining about a company
having legal issues that don't affect you.
I haven't stopped using MS software or AOL software, as I haven't had
problems with either and I'm not complaining about legal issues that don't
affect me.
I'll write it one more time and hopefully you'll read it and attempt to
comprehend it this time. Get a clue, get a life, get professional help.

This just shows how stupid you are. The response was to someone else, not
you, but you don't have the brains to figure that out.

I don't care about the legal issues that don't affect me. I want people to
know that if they use this moronic product and if they cancel, the will most
likely have problems with their credit cards being charged after they
cancel. What does that have to do with using AO-HELL? Nada! Haven't you
figured out what I was talking about during our posts? I guess you need to
get a translator to explain it to you.

You don't need to be a chef to tell tha someones cooking stinks.

I have a clue, I have a life, and I have a profession.

But it is fun bantering with a moron like you.

It doesn't matter. He said the same thing I did, that your biggest
complaint about AOL was a little lawsuit, yet you are using MS software
despite their lawsuits. Then you apparently called Ed a moron for calling
you a moron for whining about lawsuits while continuing to us MS software,
then admit that you are indeed a moron. Ed was in fact not a moron for
using MS software while pointing out that you are, because you are the only
one whining about the lawsuits. Others are free to use the software, as
they are not having problems with AOL or MS, unless they are involved in
said lawsuits in which case they already know about it.

Do you have a credit card? Everyone who does have one knows that there are
often issues with bogus charges appearing on their statement and they will
either have to pay those charges or call the company that put them there and
get a credit. You still haven't answered the questions, why does this
affect you personally, or why do you care?
You don't need to be a chef to tell tha someones cooking stinks.
You do need to have taste buds.
I have a clue, I have a life, and I have a profession.

But it is fun bantering with a moron like you.

If you do have a profession you are either self employed and collecting
welfare or soon to be fired, but that's beside the point. I never told you
to get a profession. I said get a clue, get a life, seek professional help.
You are disturbed and in need of therapy.
