In the Query, I can get the results by selecting the view button or clicking
the run command (red Exclamation symbol). I get the same results. However,
it seems like you will get a answer either way. Please let me know what is
the difference between clicking the view button or selecting the run
command...when should I select the run command on the toolbar instead of the
view button.

Thanks

Douglas

The run button (red exclamation point) is used to execute an action query, i.e., update, append or delete. Changing to the datasheet view will only show the records that you have selected to execute the action on in an action query. Since the action for a select query is to select the records, the two commands perform the same action
