Hi all.

I'm new to active directory and I would like to know if
there is a way to launch active directory from a command
line. (Start->Run)

Thanks

Boy You Are New!
To "install" Active Directory, (Start>Run>dcpromo)
But with a question like that you better do some more reading before you try
it.

That is not what i want to do.
It is all ready installed and i know how it works. What
i'd like to know is instead of clicking start->programs-
administration tools->active directory, i would like to
click start->run and type a command to launch active
directory.

Once installed, AD runs continuously on the Domain
Controller (DC) unless you take special measures at
boot to prevent it (Safe Mode: DS Restore mode)

What do you really want to do?

Manage AD? Use the GUI tool Active Directory Users
and Computers or the command line tools.

Then Right click on start->programs->>administration tools->active directory
and check the properties for the Target program location/name and type that
into the Run box.

AD Users and Computers : from the start - run - dsa.msc
Domains and trusts: domain.msc
Sites and Services: DSSite.MSC

MSC - Microsoft Console which runs inside an MMC - Microsoft
Management Console

Search for all files with the extension of *.msc
Place a shortcut for the ones you want.
