I don't know why this started today, but I wanted to get into my Add/Remove
programs in the Control Panel and this error message keeps popping up and I
can't get rid of it. Anyone have any ideas? I've already done a restore to
a previous date, but it didn't help. Any suggestions? Already been to the
knowledge base but that didn't help at all.

Thanks in advance.

What error message? Please supply the exact verbatim text of the message.

Run a DLL as an App has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are

If this Scenario apply to you then proceed with the solution:
You receive a "Rundll32.exe has encountered a problem" error message, or the
wrong USB device is removed when you try to remove a USB device on a Windows
XP-based computer

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/887740

Open Run command and type in: rundll32.exe setupapi. InstallHinfSection
DefaultInstall 132 %wind ir%\Inf\ie.inf click [OK]

Also you can look in the event Viewer for any error messages can shed some
lights on the causer in your case, to access the event Viewer do this:
Open a Run Command and type in:
eventvwr.msc click [OK] on the Event Viewer look for Error messages (X)
and double click them to get more Info about them and you can copy and paste
in your next message.
