I am running Outlook 2000 SR-1. I am trying to set up a rule to move e-mail
mesages to a particular folder if they contain a given word or words. This
works fine for a rule with those words in the subject line, but for a rule
when the word(s) are in the body, no action is taken.

Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

If the messages are in HTML format, rules won't search the text in the
message body.

Interesting - I never knew that. Thanks!

I'm tempted to bash MS for that limitation since it seems that the vast
majority of e-mail these days s in HTML, but since you're an MVP and were
nice enough to give me an informative answer, I'll leave it at that...and
again, thanks! That will keep me from fretting and thinking I'm doing
something wrong.
