Bill

We recently installed Exchange 2000 server at our site and
one of the users had several rules defined. Since the
upgrade his rules have failed. There were no error
messages and the mail that is defined in the rules seems
to arrive in hte Inbox then immediately disappears. The
mail does not seem to be anywhere in his Oultollok
folders. The senders did not reveive undeliverable
messages.
Can someone tell me where the mail ended up going to? Is
there any way to recover the lost messages?

Thanks.

Hi Bill,
I'm having a simular problem. I can see in my my "rules
wizard view" of "define folder' that my folder
exists ..or did..and now has 42 messages..of which the
last 11 are definitely test messages I sent to myself,
because the number beside it has grown as I've attempted
to locate the mail. But the side bar column shows it as
empty. I was having a different probem with my mail from
one of my accounts getting "undeliverable" error
messages. MY wonderful ISP server tech man told me to
delete the mail server and reenter the address again
under "tools: email accounts" whch I did to his
specifications and that is when the new problem started.
I set up a new folder and picked up my messages, and by
the length of time it took to recive I know there was
some activity, but they all go to limbo. (I had an
existing rule to re-rout them to the specified folder
which got deleted when I deleted the mail server info as
he told me to). The messages I want still seem to arrive
and then dissapper(transfer) immediately upon arriveal to
the old deleted box which I've re established, but it is
empty on the side bar. Yet,I know they are there because
I can see them in the wizard box view of my folders, but
I can't find a way to open the folder, can't move it,
can't retrieve it from the wizard view.

When I've tried to re enter the rule which will place the
email in the proper folder, or even the inbox for that
matter, no matter what I try it asks me to complete a
defintion. My definitions are complete! I've clicked
the underlined words a hundred times and even tho I can
modify and they show up, the wizard keeps telling me a
definition is missing. From messing around it seems that
all my rues will not accept changes either, I haven't
determined if those rules are still operational yet..it's
to much to deal with for now.

So if anyone gives yo a fix, PLEASE, forward their reply
to me at (e-mail address removed). I'll provide you with
the same curtesy if you will provide your email.
Thanks,
Trisha
