How do I change the ruler on a form in design view to display inches rather
than cms?

Thanks

Tony

Check to see if the Measurement system box is set to U.S. on the Numbers tab
of the Regional Options dialog box of Windows Control Panel.

Change the ruler's unit of measure in a form or report
Click the Windows Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control
Panel.
Double-click the Regional Settings(or Regional Options) icon, Click the
Number Tab, In the Measurement System list, click Metric or U.S.

HTH,
Al

Thanks Karl. The regional settings were already set to English UK metric.
However, would "metric" indicate inches even though the setting is "English
UK"?

Thanks

That one is *really* obscure. It's not an Access setting; it's a
Windows setting. Use Start... Control Panel... Regional and Language
Settings... Regional Options... Customize; select U.S. from the
"Measurement System" dropdown.

Note that this will affect all Windows applications, not just Access
(e.g. the rulers in Word will change to inches, which you might not
want).
