Ruler Measurement

I'm trying to change the measurement on the ruler from
centimeters to inches.

Sonia suggested:
In Windows it's Start > Control Panel > Regional Settings
Regional Options
Customize > Measurement system. Change it to U.S.

It was already set to US, but I changed it and then
changed it back. It still comes up in centimeters.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Which version of Windows?

Did you try rebooting after you changed the measurement from US and then
back to it?
 
I'm running XP...

The administrator account has the correct settings, both
on the local machine profile and the network profile.

Most network users get the metric in place of the English.

Yes I tried to reboot., to no avail.

In the Regional Settings box on the first tab, click the "customize"
button. There's another option for numbers there. Is it set to US also?

Wow, I don't know, then. Hopefully someone else will have ideas.

The keyboard's set to US, isn't it?
