This has got to be easier than I'm making it out to be. Here's what I'd like
to do:
I use Outlook 2002 to take care of several different e-mail addresses of
mine.
I'd like mail sent to one address to go to Folder A, to another to Folder B,
etc.

This can't be complicated, and the Rule Wizard doesn't seem to want to let
me do this by address, but by name. Still, I can't believe this is
complicated. I just can't figure it out.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Will

Not to my knowledge. This is at home (although I do use XP pro here), so I'm
not sure how I would figure out if it were that.

I was having this same problem. I wanted to color code
according to which account my mail was sent to. I set it
up so that messages with a "To" that contains mercer.edu
would be red. But if someone had me in their address book
as "A Nance," this message would not be red. The only
messages that changed colors were where the sender had
actually typed in my address (and not given me a name in
their address book). I have included fixes below for
coloring messages and for moving message to a different
folder based on the account.

The fix (for coloring messages):
Click the organize icon
Click automatic formatting
(Add if necessary)
Condition button
Advanced tab
Click the field button
select "All mail fields > Internet account"
Your rule will read
"Internet account contains mercer.edu"

The fix for moving messages to a different folder using
the rules wizard (Outlook 2000):
When you get to this question "Which condition do you want
to check," use the option "when received through the
specified account."

It makes it easier if you aren't, actually. So you have X number of POP
accounts defined, and you want them to be filed in different inboxes - you
should be able to do this easily based on the recipient e- mail address, I'd
think....what problems are you having?

My problem is simply that I don't know how to begin and don't find Outlook's
Help very helpful.

I am, and I still can't get this type of thing to work either - any
suggestions?
