My computer has just started running very slow and is
indicating that virtual memory is being expanded and that
some applications may not run. It is paging excessively.
I have not added any new programs lately.

I have looked at task manager and noticed that
RuLaunch.exe is a process that is always running and that
it is increasing in memory size continuously from whrn I
start up (about 5,000KB) until it is over 80,000KB.

Any ideas as to my problem?

That is the Update checker for McAfee programs including antivirus
and firewall. I just installed McAfee Firewall 4.0 program
yesterday and the file you mentioned is memory-resident. I do not
notice the increase in memory used.
