rtvscan's constant polling of the registry

Using registry monitor, I discovered that the rtvscan.exe service is
polling the registry once every 15 seconds for

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Intel\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\Type

and a whole slew of registry entries every 30 seconds.

Does anyone know of a registry hack to modify the amount of time rtvscan
waits before polling the registry. Obviously, the registry isn't changing
*that* often, so the polling frequency should be able to be every 15
*minutes* rather than 15 seconds.
