RSVP Error

I have XP pro SP3 on my laptop and it randomly locks up (cant move mouse or
do anything) and i have looked at the event viewer and this error seems to be
there when there a lockup

Event Category: None
Event ID: 12004

Description:
Error (The system cannot find the file specified.
) while reading the FirstCounter value under RSVP performance key
(HKLM\\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RSVP\Performance) in registry.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Got the same errors here, lately. Did you receive any comments/help?
