Hi Michael - I think we have to define terms here a little. If added code
adds value (utility) which you desire, then I don't consider that bloat -
it's simply the price you're willing to pay for the value received. Bloat
normally means to me added code for features I don't want or need and/or
poorly written/architected code.

I suspect that the Maxthon browser (used to be MyIE2) resident working set
is indeed larger (although I've not checked, and it might well not be
depending on just how the extensions were done and the plug-ins handled),
but I didn't recall noticing any significant performance hit (except for
startup, IIRC). Maxthon's size would also depend on how many and which of
the Maxthon plug-ins you installed (there are about 500 available - it's
kinda like Firefox's extensions in that respect).

I just know a lot of people swear by it (including a couple of MVP's I know
:) ) since it offers most of the things people seem to want - tabbed
browsing, RSS, etc. in an IE format, and it's earned a place on my Office
Shortcut Bar. Besides, the OP didn't express that as a concern - he just
wanted an RSS solution.
