I have 2 tape libraries running on 2 different SCSI
cards in a Win2k Advanced Server. Both were working fine
and suddenly the Qualstar 4222 is not working. The error
given is the classic no help error of...RSM cannot manage
Library Tape0 code 17. It encountered an unknown error.
Basically the message is of no help. This tape library
has 2 AIT drives in it. The SCSI while restarting shows
both the drives and the library component. I have tried
the backup reinstallation of the NTMSDATA file as well to
no avail. The tapes show up in the RSM Physical locations
area in system manger but the actual library is no longer
showing. Any ideas on this one would be appreciated!!
